We've got all our documents. All we have to do is get them notarized, certified, and authenticated. Any advice? Anything that we should watch out for? I'm just so tired of set-backs. If anyone had any issues with these steps please let me know.
Posted by Mark at April 21, 2004 11:35 PMMake sure all your notaries use the correct wording. If they don't have a stamp that says the wording it's important to get the wording exactly right. If the wording is right, they won't apostille it and you'll have to have the notaries fixed!(yes we went through this)
Most of them are a jurat notary and should say
"subscribed and sworn to before me" with the date. signed before me is not sufficient, you have to swear to it as well.
