Hello from Changsha
- January 22nd, 2005
Greetings,
We
arrived in Changsha late this evening. It is 11:54pm on Sunday
night. We have a meeting at 7:50am in the morning. Then we
leave around 10:00am to get Kaylee.
Today
was crazy. Traveling is a bit stressful. But fortunately,
when the plane landed in Changsha, as we were waiting to exit
the plane, the over-head music was playing "Love Me Tender"
by Elvis. A nice reminder of home. I haven't heard that song
in ages. What... I have to go all the way to China to hear
some Elvis? :-)
Hong
Kong was interesting. It was like New York City. But with
more people. I'm not a fan of crowds. And HK was the worst
I have ever seen. It was very Americanized. But what we have
seen of Changsha so far is definitely not.
Well,
we have to get some sleep. We have a BIG DAY tomorrow. We
are going a bit crazy. It's cold. We are exhausted. And we
didn't have much time tonight to prepare for the morning.
In fact, I really shouldn't be typing this but I needed a
break.
We
will try to send out an update and some pictures tomorrow
when we get back with Kaylee.
BTW, I posted a few photos of Hong Kong on
the Adoption Blog. More later...
