The Hip Hammock!
- January 29th, 2005

We spent the day traveling. Ugh... Checked out at 10:30am. Flight left at 2:30. Landed around 3:30. Arrived at the White Swan Hotel around 5:30. It was a long day. But there was one thing that made it all better. The Hip Hammock!

A lot of people recommended getting some type of baby carrier. There are several types. We decided to go with the Hip Hammock. And I am so glad we did. Kaylee loves being in it. And she spent most of the day hanging with her dad! It was great. When Naomi first talked to me about getting one, I wasn't crazy about the idea. We finally bought one but I didn't really think I would use it. It just seemed so silly. But now I'm a huge fan of them.

Kaylee did great on the plane. We gave her a bottle when we took off. This helped her from having ear issues. She looked out the window for a while. And then slept most of the flight.

The hotel here (The White Swan) is fantastic. I'll take some pictures tomorrow.

We had to say goodbye to Daphne and Ellen today. That was sad. They were so nice and so helpful. They gave all of the babies a couple of gifts. One was a map that has their orphanage marked. And the other was some dirt from their orphanage in a red fancy cloth bag. There is a tradition in China where people will give children small bags of dirt from their home when they travel far to remind them of home.

Tomorrow morning Kaylee gets her picture taken for her Visa.

My eyes are getting heavy. It was a late night/early morning.
